As we focus on holistic learning, some ways you might see that come out in our classrooms are:
• Building with blocks to strengthen hand muscles for writing.
• Playing with sand, rice, water, or dough to explore textures and develop coordination.
• Engaging in pretend play to build language, imagination, and confidence.
• Singing songs and moving their bodies to support memory and rhythm.
• Working together to learn sharing, listening, and teamwork Every activity is designed to support your child’s growth and development.
By doing these sorts of activities, we are building a number of skills, some to note:
• Early reading and listening skills.
• Language, numeracy, and communication.
• Numeracy, sorting, and emerging counting skills.
• Spiritual Foundations.
•Fine motor skills (needed for writing).
• Gross motor skills (balance, coordination, strength).
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Social and emotional confidence.
These foundational skills prepare children for future academic success.
